The Jelení Gallery was established in 1999 as part of the Center for Contemporary Arts Prague. It aims to provide long-term support to young emerging Czech artists who often have their first solo exhibition in the gallery. The gallery program offers a systematic overview of the Prague young art scene as well as that of other regions. We cooperate with professors at art schools in Brno, Ostrava, Ústí nad Labem and Pilsen.

The gallery also organizes exhibitions of more experienced artists who in our opinion have the greatest influence on the young generation at any given moment in time.

The gallery has its own permanent curators, though these regularly work with the youngest curators, offering them the opportunity to organize a monographic or thematic group exhibition.
